What's the difference between practice rounds, competitions, and leagues?

Practice rounds let you track casual rounds (even multi-ball) without a competition. Competitions are structured events with pairings, leaderboards, and multiple rounds. Leagues are ongoing rankings where players play any course, any time — standings use both WHS differentials and net handicap scores, so any player can compete against any skill level.

Do all players need to download the app?

No! Only the person scoring needs the app. Other players can view the leaderboard via a web link, or download the app if they want to score their own matches.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Scoring works completely offline. Your scores save locally and sync automatically when you have connection again.

What scoring formats do you support?

Every format is on every tier. Available now: all individual formats — Stableford, Stroke Play, Par, Singles Match Play and Qualifying Match Play — plus Team Stableford (aggregate sum), Best 3 of 4 Stableford, and 1v1 Singles Match Play in team-configured Ryder Cup events. Coming soon: Team Best Ball, Shamble, Scramble and Match Play, plus the 2v2 Ryder Cup variants (Pairs Better Ball, Pairs Scramble, Foursomes Match Play). Skins and Wolf side-games remain Premium features.

Can I run 9-hole competitions?

9-hole and 18-hole rounds are supported on every tier — pick whichever round length suits your group when you set up your comp.

How are handicaps handled?

You enter each player's handicap during onboarding. The Nineteenth tracks a social handicap — it's not an official Golf Australia or WHS handicap. On the Social tier and above, daily handicaps are calculated for every round, automatically adjusted for each course's slope and rating. The app then works out strokes received per hole, net scores, and Stableford points.

Can I run multiple rounds in one competition?

Yes! Free tier supports 2 rounds, Social supports 5, and Premium supports 10 rounds per competition.

Absolutely. All competitions are private by default. Only players you invite can see your competition. We don't share or sell your data.

What if I make a scoring mistake?

You can edit scores anytime before final submission. After submission, competition admins can make corrections.
